HUMAN CONCERNS COMMISSION

“Reaching out in Christ’s name”

Worship, service, friendship, education and stewardship are woven together as the parish of St. Barnabas. These ministries are reflected within the five parish commissions: Spiritual Life, Human Concerns, Parish Life, Education/Formation and Administration. The commissions connect lay leaders, staff and the Pastor to share leadership and form a vision for the parish.

The Human Concerns Commission is made up of people who have experience with one or more of the Human Concerns ministries. New commission members are discerned at the annual Call to Leadership. For more information about the Commission or its associated ministries, please feel free to contact any of the current Commission Members.

"If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them 'go in peace, keep warm and eat well,' but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it?

So also faith of itself, if it
does not have works, is dead."
  (James 2:15-16)
