St. Barnabas Respect Life Committee

Mission Statement

In the spirit of charity, and in accordance with the teachings of our Catholic Church, the St. Barnabas Respect Life Group strives to provide information, encourage fellow parishioners, and sponsor a variety of activities in order to foster a parish-wide reverence for human life, in every condition, from conception to natural death.

Upcoming Events

October is RESPECT LIFE MONTH! Check out these three upcoming events:

(1) The 40 DAYS FOR LIFE CAMPAIGN begins September 22, and continues through October 31. Visit www.40daysforlife.com/chicago to reserve your date and time to pray outside of the Albany Medical Surgical Center, 5086 N. Elston.

(2) St. Barnabas will celebrate RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY at the 12:00 Mass on Sunday, October 3. All are invited to celebrate life at this very special Mass.

(3) In further support of the pro-life movement, our church will again participate in the BABY BOTTLE PROJECT benefiting The Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland. This non-profit organization directly assists mothers and families experiencing crisis pregnancies by offering emotional, financial, material, and spiritual support through counseling, clothing & monetary provisions, prayer, and other aid. Please take a baby bottle (or two!) home with you after Mass on October 2 or 3, fill it with your spare change over the next five weeks, and return it before any of the Masses on November 6-7. Please keep all pro-life undertakings in your prayers, especially during Respect Life Month.
