Art and Environment Committee

The Parish Art and Environment Committee is a group of parishioners who design and prepare the worship space in accordance with the liturgical calendar. The Art and Environment ministry needs many hands to assist with the preparation of the church, particularly at the time of major feasts such as Christmas and Easter. We are happy to welcome all to this committee -- artists, cleaning crews, plant caretakers, those who can lift heavy (and not so heavy) items, and anyone who would like to help decorate and maintain the church. There is a coordinator for each liturgical season and members of the committee volunteer to help decorate according to the theme.

All parishioners who have an interest in preparing our parish home for our liturgy celebrations are invited to participate in this ministry. For more information, please contact Kitty Ryan at 773-779-1166.

Junior Art and Environment Committee

Banners for Ordinary Time 2009Banners for Ordinary Time 2009In an effort to introduce sixth through eight graders to ideas of how to create and maintain a prayerful and "greener" church environment, St. Barnabas parish has formed the Junior Art and Environment Committee. Emphasis is placed on creating a spiritually stimulating environment from natural, handmade and recyclable materials.

The committee is open to new members. For further information please contact Susan Dardar at adardar1@earthlink.net.
