COMMUNICATION

St. Barnabas encourages regular communication between staff, parents and students as this plays a vital role in the overall learning experience. Ongoing information is provided via the website and Thursday school newsletter. Email, voice-mail and meetings by appointment are also encouraged.

Updates regarding your child’s experience and progress are also communicated the following ways:

• Parent Night: In September, parents are invited to meet the teachers, discuss curriculum, classroom practices and discipline procedures.
• Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences: Conferences are scheduled in November and by request in March for grades K-8.
• Classroom newsletters: Classroom activities are communicated through regular newsletters sent home with students in Grades Pre-K-4
• Syllabus: Subject specific goals are defined in a quarterly syllabus for grades 5-8.
• Power School: Our web-based tool enables parents and students to check grades, assignments, and notices at anytime. Simply click on our Power School button, located on our homepage to access your child’s information.
