Fundraising

As with many private schools, fundraising plays a vital role in funding special activities for the children of St. Barnabas School. Your support of these programs is very much appreciated. School sponsored fundraising activities include:

• A Magazine Subscription Drive, sponsored by student council, which supports student activities and purchases that benefit students

• A $350 Raffle scheduled into the monthly tuition statement. You may reduce this cost to your family by selling the tickets to family members and friends. This is the only mandatory fundraiser, and is sponsored by the school board.

Market Day

Market Day offers a wide selection of high quality foods at competitive prices for purchase by school families, parishioners and other members of the community. This is an important parish fundraiser, as proceeds are shared between our Grant-in-aid, and Family School Association (FSA) programs for the benefit of all students.

This monthly program is available from August-May. Products range from butcher shop meats and poultry to easy family meals, delicious appetizers and gourmet desserts. Order forms are sent home via the Thursday school newsletter, and should be returned by the due date noted on the form. Shoppers may also go on-line for added convenience. Simply click the link Market Day, and enter in our 60643 zip code. Select St. Barnabas School and start shopping. Pick up is in the school gym, the first Saturday morning of every month.
