Technology

Technology tools are fully integrated within the classroom environment. A state-of-the-art computer lab is available to all students. Curriculum is enhanced through use of the Internet and educational software.

• Classrooms are equipped with at least three networked computers, providing safe/protected access to the Internet.
• A Traveling Laptop Center with wireless access enhances the classroom experience.
• Students visit the computer lab, containing 33 networked computers, at least one period per week under the instruction of their classroom teachers and a full-time technology director.
• Students learn and utilize educational software such as: Type to Learn, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
• Additional self-paced learning technology is available including: Accelerated Math, Accelerated Reading, and Study Island. These resources allow for independent study, immediate feedback, and tailored reinforcement.
