Alumni Spotlight

Patrick Thomas – 1995 Graduate of St. Barnabas School

St. Barnabas School alumni Patrick Thomas worked for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Chicago Tribune’s City News before returning to his south side roots as the editor of the Beverly Review newspaper. In his position for two years, Patrick spends his time at the Beverly Review unearthing the region’s best stories and providing readers the most insight into the people and happenings of the Beverly, Morgan Park and Mt. Greenwood communities.

A current resident of Wicker Park, Patrick graduated from St. Barnabas in 1995 and went on to attend Brother Rice High School with a partial scholarship for academic achievement. He earned another academic scholarship to attend Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, from where he graduated with a double-major in Communication (Journalism) and English and a minor in History.

Patrick credits his success to his upbringing and considers his time spent at St. Barnabas School as some of the most fun and cultivating years of his life where he learned valuable life skills and made countless friendships and memories.
