Technology

The school curriculum is reinforced through use of the Internet and educational software.  Students have regular access to a modern computer lab facility as well as technologically-enhanced classrooms and resource centers.

• Classrooms are equipped with at least three networked computers, providing safe/protected access to the Internet.
• 2 Traveling Laptop Centers with wireless access and 3 Smartboards allow educators to enhance daily lessons with special visual demonstrations.
• Students receive weekly training and instruction on 30 networked machines in our computer lab from both their classroom teacher and a full-time Technology Director.
• Students benefit from access to educational software including: Type to Learn, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
• Additional self-paced learning technology promotes independent study and tailored reinforcement with immediate feedback.  The programs include: Accelerated Math and Accelerated Reading.
