We are all stewards in one way or another. We each take care of our body, our family and our possessions. A good steward is someone who accepts something as a gift, takes care of it responsibly, nurtures it in gratitude and gives back in abundance.

Stewardship is an intrinsic aspect of our Baptismal call.  Everything we are and everything we have are gifts from God. Stewardship is about taking responsibility for our parish community and building for the future. Scripture contains many stories about stewardship as a way of life.

Stewardship of Prayer

A prayer life steeped in a sense of gratitude for all that we are and all that we have is a wonderful gift to share with our family, friends and parish. There are many opportunities for personal and community prayer at St. Barnabas.

Stewardship of Ministry

We are called to share our time and talents where they are needed. Each fall, parishioners are given the opportunity to renew or make a commitment to ministry.  Please consider sharing your time and special talents with your parish community.

Stewardship of Finance

We are called to reflect and pray about God's generosity in our lives and are asked to respond to God's generosity by sharing our treasure with the parish community.  Each fall, we make or renew our stewardship commitment to share our financial resources with the parish. That response should be planned, proportionate and given in a spirit of thanksgiving.

"In generous spirit pay homage to the Lord, be not sparing of freewill gifts.  With each contribution show a cheerful countenance, and … a spirit of joy. Give to the Most High as he has given to you, generously, according to your means."

Book of Sirach, 35:7-9
